Sooooo, this is a talent show about AIDS awareness and they will be featuring a variety of talent. From dance, rap, signing, and spoken word, basically this should be a great show for young people to show case their creativity. Now how does this relate to me, I want to do a spoken word segment. I mean, I know my forté is more on the creative writing side, but spoken word is a bit different and I'm up for the challenge. I guess... Like Ms Badu would say "I'm an artist and I'm sensitive about my SH-T." And since I don't do anything half assed (haha stole that line from Easy A. Bomb movie go watch it!), and take pride in my work; I made good use of my unpaid 2 000 something something tuition and borrowed a couple books on slam poetry. Youtube will also be my source of knowledge and edjumacation.... I mean the way I look at it, the deadline to submit a video to actually get an auditions is on March 12. So I have time, and the worst that can happen is that I don't make auditions. Then OH WELL.
Never a failure always a lesson. So that's another project under my belt this year....
